The Lowe Compeition is open to all students interested in performing at a competitive level. Students are accepted onto the team through Placement Auditions held in June and final Auditions held in August of each year. They compete at local, regional, and national competitions. Students learn responsibility, dedication, and to be a reliable team member. Team members can compete as soloists, as duets or trios, or as group members.
- Competitors are expected to maintain an excellent attendance record
- All classes and rehearsals in the 2 weeks prior to a competition MUST be attended.
- Competitors are required to take class in the discipline they are competing.
- Competitors must also meet the following class requirements:
- Jazz requires ballet
- Tap & acro require ballet or jazz
- Hip hop requires jazz.
Lowe Dance Lines Parents' Association
L.D.L.P.A. is comprised of the parents of team members and studio teachers who wish to participate in fundraising to defray the costs of competing. The organization is headed by a board elected by the membership each fall including a President, Vice-President, Secretary & Treasurer. Suzanne serves as an advisor to the board. Monthly membership meetings are held at the studio.
Student Teaching Program
Student teaching is available for students ages 12 and up. In this program, students will work closely with their teacher and learn how to teach a class the correct way. This is a good program for students who may be interested in becoming a Dance Teacher.
re-Professional Program offered to students in level 4 and above. Students will take multiple level classes everyday along with Pointe and Variations. Pas de Deux will be available as permitted. Students will learn the “how to’s” of the Professional World of Ballet. Students will be encouraged to audition for Professional Companies during their Senior year of High School.
Voorhees Ballet Theatre
The Voorhees Ballet Theatre is the resident Ballet Company of Lowe Dance Studio. The Voorhees Danse Ensemble of the Ballet Theatre is the group of serious-minded students interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts. Learn more about upcoming performances at vbtnj.com.
